What is PTSA Grad Nite?

PTSA Grad Nite is an evening of fun and celebration for our graduating seniors and since 1990 this incredible event has been held on the campus of Laguna Hills High School.  It is an all-night safe and sober event hosted by LHHS parents and administration.  The evening comprises a full roster of events, entertainment, games, prizes, food and beverages. 

After many months of advance, behind-the-scenes preparation, around the first of June, a portion of the campus is cordoned off and hidden from view as the Grad Nite committee transforms the space into a high-guarded secret magical venue.  

What is the PTSA Grad Nite Preview Event?
The PTSA Grad Nite Preview Event is an opportunity for LHHS families (ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 5), alumni and staff, as well as the greater Laguna Hills business and neighbor communities, to witness the magic of Grad Nite and we urge you to attend!   Preview is held the evening before Grad Nite and is hosted by the Preview Event Committee.  Guided tours of the venue are arranged, and refreshments are provided by local businesses who have partnered with us to sponsor this safe and sober Grad Nite event for our seniors.  However, in an attempt to maintain many of the mysteries of Grad Nite until the actual “night of”, the Grad Nite Preview Event is for adults only.  There is a nominal entrance fee but LHHS alumni and faculty are considered honored guests. 

This is the only time the venue will be available to the public!

How is PTSA Grad Nite Funded?
The PTSA Grad Nite committee operates its own budget under the auspices of the LHHS PTSA.  Approximately 50% of the budget is covered by ticket sales. The PTSA Hawk Gala and other fund raising activities, donations by LHHS families, local businesses and corporations comprise the other 50%.  Recent initiatives by the Grad Nite committee include efforts to reach out to the wider community for support and participation in Grad Nite.

Who Creates PTSA Grad Nite?
PTSA Grad Nite is created by dozens of volunteers from past and present LHHS families, and from all LHHS grade levels. Freshman, Sophomore and Junior parents are encouraged to get involved as this event is a gift to the senior class from ALL members of the LHHS community.   The event is organized into more than two dozen committees ranging from Decorations, Food, Games and Prizes, to Security, Ticket Sales, and Staffing.  Our approach of One Town - One School, we can make this a great success and continue the tradition of PTSA Grad Nite on our compass.  With everyone helping out on a small level, the cumulative effect adds up to a grand event.  ONE TOWN - ONE SCHOOL!
